OUR HISTORY

Rooted in a brewing tradition dating back to 1096, Saint-Martin abbey beer is part of the heritage of an ancient monastery in Tournai, preserved through the centuries and revived in 1890. Today, it is brewed according to strict organic standards and ranks among the few certified organic abbey beers in Belgium.

Founded in 1890 near Tournai, Brasserie de Brunehaut is a Belgian family-owned brewery specializing in top-fermented beers, combining brewing traditions with contemporary expertise. Renowned for its commitment to organic and sustainable production, it uses carefully selected ingredients and a rigorously controlled fermentation process to craft balanced beers full of character. Driven by a strong spirit of innovation, Brunehaut has also become a pioneer in organic and gluten-free brewing, while preserving the authenticity and quality characteristic of Belgian abbey beers.
